About us

Design, materials and trades — under one roof

Design My House was set up to remove the biggest frustration people face when building: dealing with a designer, a material supplier and a set of contractors who never talk to each other. We do all three, so one team carries a project from the first sketch to the finished house.

What we do

We draw architectural designs — floor plans, elevations, 3D views and the structural drawings a contractor actually builds from. We supply the materials that go into the building. And we put trained trades on site to do the work.

Those three things are usually bought from three different places, which is where most of the delay and most of the finger-pointing comes from. Handling all three means the drawing, the material and the labour are answerable to the same team.

How we work

Every project starts with a conversation and a set of plot dimensions. From there we produce a concept, revise it with you until it is right, and only then price the work. You receive an itemised quotation before anything begins, and nothing proceeds until you have accepted it in writing.

Once work starts, your reference number gives you a tracking page. Each stage is marked off as it completes, so you can see where things stand without having to call and ask.

Our process

From first conversation to handover

01

Requirement Discussion

We start with a conversation about what you need, how many people will live there, and what you are comfortable spending.

02

Site & Plot Details

Plot dimensions, facing, setbacks, soil condition and access are recorded. A site visit is arranged where it is warranted.

03

Concept & Planning

We produce initial layouts and a massing view so you can see the shape of the house before any detailed work begins.

04

Design & Quotation

Once the concept is agreed you receive an itemised quotation covering drawings, materials or execution as applicable.

05

Client Approval

Nothing proceeds until you accept the quotation in writing. Revisions at this stage cost nothing.

06

Execution

Work begins to the agreed scope, with the trades scheduled so one does not hold up the next.

07

Progress Updates

Your reference number gives you a tracking page. Each milestone is marked off as it is completed.

08

Completion & Handover

Final inspection, snag list, and handover of drawings, warranties and circuit charts.

In their words

What our clients say

We had a 30 by 50 plot and no idea where to begin. The team took our requirement, came back with two layouts, and adjusted the one we liked until it worked for us. Having the drawings and the material list from the same place saved us a great deal of running around.
Ramesh Prasad Homeowner, Gayaji
What I valued most was the written quotation. Every item was listed with a rate, so I knew what I was agreeing to before anything started. There were no surprise additions later.
Sunita Devi Plot owner, Barachatti
They designed the commercial block and coordinated the civil and electrical teams. The tracking page was genuinely useful — I could check the stage from my phone instead of calling every second day.
