This policy explains what Design My House collects when you use this website, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

What we collect

We only collect what you give us through a form on this site. That is typically:

• your name, mobile number and, if you provide it, your email address;
• your city, site address and plot details, where relevant to an enquiry;
• files you choose to attach, such as a plot sketch or an existing plan;
• the content of the message you write.

Our server also keeps ordinary web logs — IP address, browser type and the pages requested — which are used to keep the site working and secure.

Why we collect it

To answer your enquiry, prepare a quotation, deliver work you have asked for, and keep a record of what was agreed. We do not use your details for anything else.

How your enquiries are grouped

Your mobile number identifies you in our records. If you send more than one enquiry using the same number, they are grouped under one profile so we can see your history and serve you properly. Nobody can view that history without signing in with a password you set yourself.

Who we share it with

We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not share it for marketing. Where a contractor or supplier needs to carry out work you have commissioned, we share only what they need in order to do it — usually a site address and a contact number.

We may disclose information where we are required to by law.

How long we keep it

Enquiries, quotations, project records and invoices are retained as business records. If you want your details removed, contact us and we will remove what we are not required to keep.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS. Passwords are stored hashed, never in readable form. Files you upload are stored outside the publicly accessible part of the server and are served only to people authorised to see them.

Cookies

This site sets a session cookie so that forms work correctly and so you stay signed in if you create an account. There is no third-party advertising or tracking on this site.
